Frequently asked questions
F.A.Q.
Starting with a consultation where we discuss details about your dog, we will decide on a location and a date. The photoshoots can take around 2 hours, sometimes longer depending on the route taken and/or your dogs behaviour. Each session is really special and I don’t book consecutively, usually only one per day, this enables me to focus on your pet completely, and if it happens to take a long time, then that’s fine.
I will take several photos in different settings throughout the walk, some posed, some natural and I love to get some action shots in as well. I encourage my clients to be included in the photos in some way, so please wear clothing that you love and feel comfortable in, while also dressing for the weather.
After the shoot you will be invited to a gallery reveal session, these normally take place in your home. This is the best way for you to see how the different styles of wall art look on your walls.
Absolutely! Leads can easily be edited out of the photographs if your dog needs to stay on a lead. Most of the time, dogs that go off lead will be asked to put on a lead to help position them for the photos.
I hear this all the time, and it really isn’t a problem. With my camera and lenses, your dog only needs to be still for a fraction of a second. Some basic training on the sit and stay command does help but it’s not essential for my style of photography.
They can take place anywhere within a 30 mile radius of the ST5 postcode. I am happy to travel further than this for an extra fee of 45p per mile. We can meet at a favourite location of yours, or I can recommend some that are great for photos.
The photo experience costs £195, this includes all the prep work, the photoshoot, retouching of your images, a preview image on social media, the gallery reveal session and £150 to spend on prints, wall art or digitals. Print prices start from £150 and there is no obligation to purchase further images, however you will love so many of them and it can be difficult to choose just one.
Prices for digitals start from £240, prints set boxes start from £720, and wall art starts from £670. Most of my clients invest at least £700 in wall art from their session. I will help to put packages together to suit your budget during your viewing session.
I can accept payments via credit cards including American Express. Interest free payment plans are available.
We can never really depend on the British weather so I recommend that you always come prepared for rain and mud. A little rain is ok, and can even sometimes add something a little special to your photos, but I am also happy to rearrange if the weather is terrible. If it is too hot then your photoshoot will be postponed to another date, as your dogs safety is my utmost priority.
Yes of course! I actively encourage this during the session. Even if you are camera shy I have ways to get you involved in the pictures without directly posing for them. My style is better suited to candid photos of people and children, I am sure I can take some magical pictures for you.
The more the merrier! All of your dogs are part of the family and they are all welcome to the shoot at no extra cost.
Yes! I have taken photos of cats and horses, smaller pets too, even ducks! Although I specialise in dog photography, I would love to photograph other pets. As long as it is safe for your pet to be outdoors then it’s no problem.
